- Applications
- Western Blot (Tissue lysate)
- The PIK3CA polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB2124) is used in Western blot to detect PIK3CA in mouse uterus tissue lysate.
The antibody is incubated with the blocking peptide in the right lane. No blocking peptide is added in the left lane.
- Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
- Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human breast carcinoma tissue reacted with PIK3CA polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB2124) , which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining.
This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry ; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

- Protein Accession#:
- NP_006209;P42336
- Gene Name:
- PIK3CA
- Gene Alias:
- MGC142161,MGC142163,PI3K,p110-alpha
- Gene Description:
- phosphoinositide-3-kinase, catalytic, alpha polypeptide
- Gene Ontology:
- Hyperlink
- Gene Summary:
- Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase is composed of an 85 kDa regulatory subunit and a 110 kDa catalytic subunit. The protein encoded by this gene represents the catalytic subunit, which uses ATP to phosphorylate PtdIns, PtdIns4P and PtdIns(4,5)P2. This gene has been found to be oncogenic and has been implicated in cervical cancers. [provided by RefSeq
